We're teaming up with City Care and the Park Rangers to help restore the breeding habitat of the Black Billed Gull which is the worlds most endangered Gull species. Out at the Charleston reserve we will be spreading gravel on small islands to recreate their natural breeding habitat. We started this project last year and as a result of that the Black Billed gull was seen nesting in the reserve for the first time in 10 plus years!! So if you're keen to help out a native bird species and have a delicious BBQ afterwards then sign up on the app to come. Transport will be provided on the day.
The Student Volunteer Army AGM will be a night where we can celebrate what we've achieved throughout the year. We'll also unveil some exciting plans for next year and introduce the new 2017 committee. We're putting on free kai and heavily subsidising drinks so you won't get malnourished. There'll be a live band playing some bangers for you as well so we've got all bases covered for a good night. We'd love to see you come celebrate with us.

We're teaming up with Doc and the airforce cadets on the mountains above Lyttleton Harbour to build a walking track so everyone can experience the pristine views as we will be. Godley Head used to be a military base in WW2 so there's lots of old bunkers and artillery that we'll be working amongst. As always we'll be putting on kai and refreshments so we'd love to see you out there!
