If you are yet to sort out what you will be doing for your hour of service on ANZAC day this is the perfect opportunity for you! On Saturday the 23rd of April the Student Volunteer Army is undertaking a planting extravaganza. There are 2000 native trees that need to be planted to restore a portion of Canterbury’s beautiful land.
All tools including gardening gloves will be provided. All you need to bring is sturdy shoes, comfortable clothing and a bottle of water. Snacks will be provided during the day followed by a barbecue after all the hard work is done. If Woodend seems like a bit of a hike, the SVA are providing transport; so if you need a ride meet at the foundry car park at 8.15am. Alternatively you are welcome to meet us at Woodend Beach Holiday park at 9.00am.
